This dish was originally created as a way to preserve stewed meat, with the natural preservative qualities of the condiments and pork lard acting in the same way as in sausage making.

Chata® Chilorio comes in a convenient microwave-safe pouch, making it easy to heat up and serve. Simply open the pouch and heat the contents in a pan for 2 minutes or in the microwave for 45 seconds. Each pouch contains 250 grams of seasoned pork, enough to make approximately 6-8 tacos.
